You just reinacted my exact incounter with kyogre in pokemon saphire, right down to the first move being used ice-beam O_O'

Lol, really? I think Kyogre used hydro pump first though. When I first fought Kyogre I used my Swampert since he was my stringest and it turns out he was three or four levels higher than Kyogre. But what happened was Kyogre attacked my Swampert with hydropump and I went"haha that won't have a lot of effect" until I saw that my pokemon had 1 health point so I just used my master ball. I used ice beam hoping it would freeze Kyogre. It barely put a scartch on him. So it actualy went like this:

USED ICE BEAM! It's not very effective...

USED HYDRO PUMP! It's not very effective

Used a Master Ball!
